Recently, on another site of mine, I wrote an article that was about different ways to earn money. Although I never mentioned anything about earning money online, a friend of mine made a comment saying that he didn’t know how to make money online, so it was basically worthless to even try. A couple of others said that they felt I was unwilling to help anybody to make money online, only to sell the information so that I could make money.
Hello…???
Telling people how to do it is what this site is all about. Last time I checked, nobody had to pay a penny to read this site, it’s totally free. Yes, I also have products that I sell with more in-depth information on “how to” make money online. But, for general information on the topic, I believe that this site is a good place to start. I commented back to my friend and told him that I would be happy to help him in his quest to earn money online, but since he had never asked me about it, and since I did not know him too well, he would need to fill me in with a bit more information. Basically, I wanted to know what he is knowledgeable about, and what he enjoys doing. With those two bits of information, I feel that I can find a number of ways to make money online for nearly anybody.
Now, I cannot guarantee that you will get rich, but in my opinion, it is not difficult to make enough income online to supplement what you are already making, or even to build yourself a full-time career on the internet, as I have.
So, today, my friend wrote back to me and answered the questions that I had asked him. My goodness, when my friend wrote back, his interests offered huge opportunities online! I was shocked because, with his skills and interests, I feel that he can do very good if he is only willing to try.
Here are my friend’s interests and areas of enjoyment:
- He is into computers. Although he did not say exactly what that means, I will assume that he can help take care of minor (maybe even major) computer repairs and diagnosis for people.
- He is into helping people in obtaining Visas for Immigration purposes. He lives in Australia, so I assume he means that he knows the rules and procedures for people who want to immigrate to Australia from other countries.
- He is currently working in the business of butchering.
OK, so what can my friend do online?
How about if he would set up a call in PC assistance service? He can use Skype and assist people all over the world with things like software problems and such. Need to know how to hook up a new mouse, or a webcam? He can charge a service fee to “walk the client through” such minor installations, and he can troubleshoot small technical problems that arise. I know for a fact that there is a demand for this kind of service because I get requests from people all the time when they need this kind of help. There are lots of people on the Internet who basically have zero technical knowledge, and are even afraid to try to plug in a USB device for fear that it will damage their computer. This kind of service would be easy to set up, very cheap to get started, and could build into a good online income.
A visa consulting business is natural. If my friend indeed has good knowledge and accurate knowledge when it comes to Visa procedures and regulations, he can set up a consulting business on that topic. There are lots of people who want to go to first world countries like Australia, and they would be willing to pay him a fee for such a service. He can advise people either by e-mail, Skype or even by chatting. For a service like Skype, they even have a way that telephone calls to your Skype will automatically get paid by Paypal (Skype and Paypal are both owned by the same company – eBay).
With his current butchering skills, my friend could start up a blog and teach people about meat. Cooks are always wanting to learn more about the ingredients that they cook with, and a butcher should have general knowledge that cooks would find interesting. Set up a blog and write about the topic of meat, butchering and such. He can teach people many things, for instance, how to take a cheap cut of meat and turn it into a gourmet meal! I know that can be done because I’ve seen others offering such advice. The blog can then make money through advertisers. He can write e-books on the topics and sell them. The opportunities are limitless.
In fact, speaking of blogs, this strategy could be applied to any of my friend’s interests and areas of knowledge. Publishing is a lucrative business if you have a topic that people are interested in, and I think my friend does.
The amount of information that my friend gave me is limited, but there are lots of different kinds of services that he can provide over the Internet to make money, even with these limited number of interests. Of course, he will need to set up a website for his new business. I would also recommend that he set up some Social Networking like Facebook and Twitter to help promote his services. It will take some time to promote his services to the point where he will get regular customers, and word of mouth referrals, but when that starts happening, the sky is the limit.
Good luck, my friend. Remember, you will never make it if you don’t take that first step and try!
