Things may change in a BIG way

Trump and Elon are coming!

In the USA we just completed a Presidential Election. While I prefer to keep politics off of my website (although I am quite politically active), I just have to write this article!

Most everybody knows who Elon Musk is. Elon is currently the richest man in the world, with a Net Worth of more than $3 Billion and growing. Although Elon is from South Africa (a place where I have lived), is a citizen and resident of the USA. In the past Elon’s politics have mostly been liberal, but this year Elon switched, became conservative, and endorsed President Trump. Elon even went to work, helping Trump campaign to become President (again). After Elon’s endorsement, and his expressing interest in participating in the Administration after Trump assumes office talk began regarding what role he would fill if working in the administration.

Can Elon Musk eliminate the deficit?

Since Musk is deeply involved in running his own enterprises (like Tesla, Starlink, etc.), he could not give a full time effort in helping run the Government. Then, Trump came up with a genius idea. Trump has proposed that Elon audit the Federal Government and find ways to save money. Elon has agreed to this role. In fact, Elon has even hinted that he thinks he can cut wasteful spending amounting to $2 Trillion or more per year! Since the US Government deficit spending in 2023 was $1.7 Trillion, that would mean that Elon could give us a budgetary surplus of about $300 Billion if he succeeds in cutting that much waste.

Can you imagine if we suddenly had d $300B surplus? My first thought is that the politicians would probably just spend that surplus on stupid things and squander the savings. I hope that President Trump could control the Congress from wasting those funds, apply them toward paying off the Federal debt! If that started happening, our economy would turn around for the better! Fingers crossed.

If we can truly get Elon on board to turn our wasteful government around, our country would improve greatly. I hope that both the right and the left can get behind this effort which would truly make our country GREAT again!
