Amazon has some great payment schemes for sellers.
Unfortunately, in my opinion, Kindle sales are not one of the great ones, though.
No big complaints, but it is pretty slow.
If I sell Kindle books, for example, in November, I won’t see that money until the end of January! So, if you sell a Kindle book on November 1, you will see that payment around the 29th of January! That is nearly 3 months. So, don’t expect it too quickly! I guess the good news is that if you sell a Kindle book on November 30, that is still part of the November sales period, so you will get paid for that book also on January 29 or so, so that is only 2 months waiting for your money!
Really, though, to be fair to Amazon, once you get that first payment, and if you have an active Kindle sales channel, you will be getting a payment every month, so that is a good thing. Because of that, it is just that first payment you have to wait for, because even though they all take the same amount of time, you are getting payments month after month, so it does not seem like you are going without the money from your sales (even though you really are waiting a long time).
I do like Amazon, and adding Amazon to my mix of channels where I am selling has been a good financial decision for me. But, I just want to be honest with the readers of this site, and if you are selling Kindle books, you do have to wait for the money!
